Lynn Hildebrand is a credentialed teacher and humane educator at the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley. (HSSBV). As a humane education teacher for HSSBV, Lynn Hildebrand visits school classrooms for preschool through sixth grade, delivering presentations about proper care and compassion for domestic animals, safety around animals, respect for and the importance of wildlife, and how youth can make kind, helpful decisions for people, animals and our earth. Lynn has provided the same presentation to after-school groups, such as Creative Before and After School Programs for Success (CAPS), Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of the United States of America, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Lynn teaches children that everyone has special, unique talents and skills and that they can make a difference. Lynn Hildebrand has been with the HSSBV, serving as Humane Education Teacher since 1991. The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley has been in operation for over 40 years, founded in 1970 by a small group of dedicated volunteers. HSSBV provides a range of humane animal services including low-cost spaying and neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping at the veterinary clinic. HSSVB investigates reports of animal cruelty, having two animal cruelty investigators on permanent staff. This organization educates over 17,000 children annually through its various courses, including those taught by Lynn Hildebrand at area schools, providing crucial instruction to prevent animal cruelty and neglect in the community.
